In 2023, we set out to create an innovative AI-driven inventory management system designed to monitor inventory levels using vision-based detection. This project was experimental and required significant effort in training AI models and programming in Python to accurately extract data from the system.
At first, we encountered some challenges, including the departure of a team member due to time constraints. It was difficult to find the right talent—until I discovered Mr. Santhosh, a committed computer science student, on LinkedIn.
Despite his college responsibilities, Santos embraced this challenge with remarkable enthusiasm. He dedicated countless hours after class, Santhosh ought advice from his peers and professors whenever necessary, and remained persistent. His determination and problem-solving abilities were essential in connecting our AI model (trained on YOLO) to its practical application.
Thanks to his hard work, we made a significant breakthrough—something that has yet to be implemented anywhere in India. His contributions to tailoring the Python programming to meet our specific needs were transformative.
